Too busy for Sims!

Hi Guys, I'm not dead... just super busy!  Things have been very busy around here the last 3 months, I've barely touched my computer at all. Just a summary of things I've been up to instead of simming and blogging:

The Garden: May 27, 2012
I started taking classes, and graduated from the Washington County Master Gardener Program. Classes were every Tuesday and Thursday evening starting the beginning of March, and ending May 24. It was a lot of work, but now I'm an official Master Gardener! Woohoo :)

I decided I needed to learn how to sew, so I bought a used sewing machine and have been practicing... too bad I can't wear the flannel PJ pants that I made now that it's too hot out.

I took off a week in May to do gardening things, and do a little cleaning around the house. That week Ryan and I went PYO strawberry picking and I made a dozen jars of strawberry preserves to kick of the canning season.

The garden is growing beautifully. We have been enjoying fresh lettuce and spinach for the past two months, and I've been harvesting (and eating!) broccoli and snow peas this past week. Yum! The tomatoes and peppers are planted and a few of the tomato plants have flowers already :) I still have to plant my beans, eggplant, and squash/cucumbers... that's on the agenda for tomorrow and Saturday!

This past weekend, we took a long weekend trip down to the Shenandoah Valley in VA. We visited the Naked Mountain winery and Copper Fox distillery both near Front Royal. Drove on the Skyline Drive and hiked in Shenandoah Nat'l Park. And visited Luray and the Caverns. It was a very relaxing weekend.

One of these days, maybe I'll get back to my sim babies (maybe once things get too hot to spend time outside in the garden). Happy Summer everyone!

That's really cool. Gardening is awesome! I love your picture there. :) So far I only have a balcony (with several potted plants), but I hope to have a proper garden one day, maybe a little greenhouse too.
Congratulations on your new title! :) Everything you've been doing sounds so interesting. I like to garden, sew, and travel in the Sims, but it's so much better to do those things in RL! :)
Your vegetable garden is looking wonderful, and making me hungry. :)

Congrats on becoming a Master Gardener (and please could you come and sort out my sorry excuse for a garden?)!
